Clinton County Arrest History

The county prosecutor's public routing is simple: report a city incident to that city's police, and an incident outside a city to the sheriff.
Ask the arresting office for the incident or arrest report. Ask the jail for the booking and custody record. Search the court for what was filed. If a city arrest happened but booking does not appear in the Clinton County portal, confirm where the person was taken. Cameron spans the Clinton and DeKalb county line, so venue and arrest location can alter both the court and jail trail. A city name alone does not prove Clinton County held the person.
Looking Up Clinton County Arrests
No one database holds the full Clinton County arrest trail. Start with the official source closest to the event, then move forward from custody to court and state reporting. Use a full name and a date or incident number when possible. Do not use a crime-tip form to ask for a record. The official Clinton County Sheriff's Office homepage links to “View All Inmates,” latest booking, alerts, news, and contact functions. Its progressive web app is mobile friendly and requires JavaScript. It is not a native App Store or Google Play product. The official screenshot below shows the sheriff's public front door without republishing an inmate name or booking photo.
The homepage is the safe starting point because it connects the current Clinton County interface with the sheriff's nonemergency line and roster path.
The public web app also displays latest booking and inmate functions. Its full profile labels could not be verified without collecting a private person's information, so no unproven fields should be assumed. Use the interface to see current public labels, then confirm any unclear custody detail with the sheriff.
Inside a Clinton County Arrest Record
An agency arrest record may contain more detail than the roster. The researched field inventory includes the incident or arrest number, date, time, location, originating agency, probable-cause narrative, subject identifiers, alleged offense and statute, and warrant or warrantless basis when disclosed. It may also cover evidence, transport, booking time, fingerprint cycle, listed jail charge, bond, and release status. Public access can require redaction.

A Clinton County roster entry does not prove the full report is open. Juvenile, victim, medical, protected identity, and active investigative details may be closed or redacted.
Clinton Arrest OCN Trail
Missouri uses an eight-digit Offense Cycle Number, or OCN, to track a fingerprint-supported arrest cycle. At a qualifying Clinton County booking, fingerprints and the OCN move to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository. The prosecutor's later action and the court's final disposition are meant to flow back so the arrest can be paired with what was filed and how it ended. It can include open qualifying convictions, guilty pleas, some recent arrests, filed charges awaiting disposition, and an SIS during probation. The county's Commission and County Clerk request email does not automatically serve sheriff records. Send an arrest, booking, body-camera, CAD, 911, or incident request to the agency that holds it. Under section 610.100, arrest and incident material may be open, closed, or partly redacted based on its status and contents. Ask for all segregable open portions if some parts are protected.
Clinton City Report Fallbacks
Cameron has a defined records counter at 101 N. Chestnut, open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Its request form covers police report numbers, incident place and date range, traffic records, and a Cameron criminal-history choice. A typical police report is $2, with $0.10 per page after 20 pages. Call 816-632-6521. Because Cameron crosses a county line, also verify where the arrest and booking occurred.
Plattsburg accepts a detailed city public-record request at 114 W. Maple or by fax at 816-930-3260. Records over ten pages may cost $0.10 per page, and unavailable records usually receive production or a written delay explanation by the third business day. Lathrop publishes no police search portal, fee, or report form. Call Lathrop Police at 816-528-6550 about the report, or City Hall at 816-740-4251 about a Sunshine request. These are distinct Clinton County access paths, not interchangeable offices.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
A Clinton County arrest record says an agency took a person into custody or documented an arrest. It does not say a judge or jury found guilt. The prosecutor can decline to file, amend the allegation, or file a different count. A filed charge can end in dismissal or acquittal. A conviction appears through the court's judgment after a guilty plea or finding, and its state repository treatment can differ from the original booking.

A dismissed charge does not by itself erase every Clinton County agency booking record. Missouri expungement can close qualifying records, but eligibility and scope come from the live law and court order.
